TIMELINE FOR SUCCESS!
Vanessa guarantees that you will reach your goals, if you put forth 100% effort. This timeline represents a fictional but completely realistic situation, to give you an idea of how successful you can be if you work hard. MONTH 1 and 2 are the most important, as this is the time you will face many challenges which may temp you to quit (lacking motivation, family financial objections, friends initial skepticism, loss of interest, lacking nutritional discipline, intimidated by experienced gym members, skeptical about program progress). If you can get through the first 2 months, you will start to see permanent results by month 3, but you have to drive on into that third and fourth month! So read this through, and think about the challenges this fictional person went through to achieve these results. You can do this too! All you have to do is sign up and heed your trainers advice!
MONTH 1: THE EARLY SPRINT IN A LONG MARATHON
On January 1st I made a New Years Resolution to change my life and finally lose weight. I started out highly motivated. But after several weeks not that much progress had been made. I was concerned I was wasting my money, and I felt like there were better things I could be doing with my time. My trainer told me it was perfectly common to feel this way early on, but I have to push forward if I want to reach my goals. I wasn't really listening, my goals were ridiculously far out there, I felt like I could never reach them. My friends and family weren't being supportive at all. My mother told me I was being scammed, and my friends kept telling me I don't need a trainer to work out in a gym. The biggest problem has been that I don't know what I'm doing, so maybe next month I'll just take what I've learned from my trainer and go off on my own. I just wish my family were more supportive. I'm glad Vanessa is here to make this fun, provide a support base for me, and keep me coming back, or I'd probably just give up.
MONTH 2: PROGRESS
Well it doesn't show in the areas I want to target, but I've lost almost 10 pounds! I've also noticed I'm toned all over my body, which is making me look alot thinner even though I haven't lost that much weight yet. I'm also knowledgeable about exercise equipment for the first time in my life, and I have greater flexibility and no longer feel out of breath the whole time. I was thinking about going off on my own, but my trainer, Vanessa, is still having to correct my form on most of the exercises. She also keeps increasing the weights on me! She has even gotten me running again during my warm ups, and I just did 3 pullups! I can certainly say I wouldn't have progressed like this if I had just come in with my friends. I'll give this at least one more month just to see how things go. My friends and family seem to be more supportive of my training now, I think they are happy for me.
MONTH 3: REALIZATION
Wow I feel great! I've lost 20 pounds! I can run a mile in 10 minutes flat, whereas I couldn't jog a quarter mile when I first started. I can't help but brag. I am more mobile, more active, happier, and I'm finally getting compliments from my spouse and co-workers. My mother is thinking about joining the gym! Who would have thought! Vanessa has been constantly congratulating me and pushing me forward, but she says I should have lost 30 pounds by now, so I was scolded for not abiding by the nutrition guidelines she laid out for me. She says she can guarantee results, but only if I eat right too! I'll be more disciplined next month!
MONTH 4: SUCCESS!
I am never letting my personal trainer go! My cousin from out of state visited me and didn't recognize me! I can't believe its already been four months! It's like I've become a different person over night! I actually had to go out and buy all new clothes! Everywhere I go I am getting compliments. My blood pressure is no longer a problem, I sleep better at night, and my joints are no longer aching. My spouse told me I look ten years younger, this is great!
MONTH 5: HEIGHTENED ACTIVITY
I just ran a marathon. I've lost 50 pounds since I started. I can do 7 pullups, and I've made tons of friends in the gym. This has been the best experience of my life. I'm in better shape than any of my friends, and one of them is training with Vanessa now too! We're thinking about signing up for group sessions, that might be even more fun!
MONTH 6: A NEW LOOK ON LIFE :)
My trainer just gave me my second assessment, and I framed the results and hung them in the Dining Room near the table. My spouse didn't even mention how out of place it looks against the other decorations. I've run out of long term goals to reach. There is nothing I would change about my body. The one gift I've truly gotten out of all of this is self-confidence, or maybe its happiness? I'll take both! I'm certainly no model, but I'm not afraid to go to the beach anymore!
It may be hard to believe, but that was not an exaggeration! Everyone will have a different timeline, but this is a perfectly realistic example, and 6 months seems to be a good end point for it. It's been proven again and again by the clients who stuck around. So if you are experiencing health or fitness concerns, see the contact page and try out a few sessions, even if just to make yourself take that first step (half the battle).
